Have Your Teeth Professionally Cleaned To Eliminate Gum Infection

Plaque remaining around the gumlines of the teeth is the primary cause of gum disease or gum infection. Over a period of time, the bacterial plaque produces acids and other toxins that can destroy bone and gum tissue. Brushing alone or even twice a day is not enough to remove plaque in between the teeth, which is why the use of a dental floss daily is vital. A thick deposit called tartar can harden if the bacterial plaque is not removed. Chronic gum infection and gum inflammation can arise if artar is allowed to remain on the teeth and below the gumline. To have your teeth professionally cleaned by a dental hygienist at the dental office is the only way to remove tartar and plaque build up.
